Steven Mack

Dr. Mack is an Associate Professor in the Division of Allergy, Immunology and BMT in the Department of Pediatrics at UCSF. He received his PhD in Molecular & Cell Biology from UC Berkeley, where he studied the molecular evolution of HLA and mitochondrial DNA polymorphism in Native American populations. He has studied HLA population genetics, molecular evolution and disease association for almost 30 years, with a focus on developing software tools and standards to facilitate sharing and analysis of HLA data.
