Shannon McCurdy

Dr. Shannon McCurdy received her medical degree from Georgetown University School of Medicine. She was an intern and resident in internal medicine at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania and completed her clinical and research fellowships in Oncology at The Johns Hopkins Hospital. She then went on to join the faculty as an Assistant Professor at Sidney Kimmel Comprehensive Cancer Center at The Johns Hopkins Hospital. She is currently an Assistant Professor of Medicine at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine. Dr. McCurdy has published her original research in Blood, Journal of Clinical Oncology, Biology of Bone Marrow Transplantation, Transplantation and Cellular Therapy, Haematologica, Leukemia, and Blood Advances. Her current research focuses on optimizing treatment strategies for older patients with hematologic malignancies with a special focus on allogeneic blood or marrow transplantation, HLA-mismatching, and post-transplantation cyclophosphamide.
