Abeer Madbouly is a Principal Bioinformatics Scientist at the National Marrow Donor Program. Her areas of research include matching for stem-cell transplantation, HLA imputation, HCT clinical outcomes, and genetic ancestry. Currently, Dr. Madbouly serves as the Chair of the ASHI Science and Technology Initiatives Committee and is a member of multiple other research societies including the European Federation for Immunogenetics and the American Society of Human Genetics. Abeer has worked in multiple disciplines of Bioinformatics research since 2002, including cardiology, anesthesiology, and HCT. She holds an MSc and Ph.D. in electrical and computer engineering from the University of Miami.
