Description:

This is a hands-on workshop that will cover different publicly available HLA data and analysis resources, including the Allele Frequencies Net Database (AFND, allelefrequencies.net), the IPD-IMGT/HLA GitHub repository (github.com/anhig/imgthla) and the HLA|COVID-19 database (database-hlacovid19.org). Topics will include developments in these online resources, and hands-on examples of data-analysis using public datasets and tools. The audience is encouraged to bring their own laptops. A list of minimum operating system and software prerequisites, and example datasets will be published ahead of the workshop. The audience is encouraged to have those loaded before the workshop to ensure maximum benefit.

No prior experience in bioinformatics or these software tools is required- only a desire to learn a new skill or build on an existing one.
